had the same one on my laptop a while back googled it and it told me how to get rid of it its more annoying than anything else

i have the free version of avg and its not done me wrong yet :thumbsup:

tried to download free.Avg.com but couldn't complete download because of "My Security Shield"

Avg was directing me to control panel to remove "My Security Shield" but its not there so i'm believing this is another virus cos it keeps asking me to pay for anti-virus protection
 
my partners mothers laptop had this virus also. It also had about 30 trojans on it just from that one virus
