as above guys was chatting a mate of mine last night he crashed his 02 wrx he reckons the chassis is twisted i havent seen the car yet to get an idea for myself he was asking me for advice on what to do.he has two ideas reshell the car but he wants to know what would be the chances of getting a good shell or the other is break the car pre accident was very well looked after i think there is a little over 80k on the clock the engine and drivetrain is perfect but what would he make off the car breaking it or would he be better off selling it complete any help or advice would be great cheers lads

waste of time reshelling a car of that age IMO....
best option is probably to break and sell rather than sell complete!!!!
depends how bad the chassis is!!!!
:dontknow: :dontknow:

have to brake it imo, to much time and money in a reshell

@ marko still havent seen the car yet but he reckons its bad enough the front and underneath is badly damaged
@ duffman i would have to agree with the two of you i know it would be a lot of grief and the rewards wouldnt be great
cheers lads much apprecited

Tell him to do something special with it. Drop engine & gearbox into a Mk2 Golf GTi or something. Thats what I'd do if I was in his position.

ya good idea brian, stick it into a mark 2 escort .ooooooooohhh yyyeahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

it would be a mad project to undergo but would be the job when done @ duffman id have to agree with you the escort would be the one for me

there is a mark 2 escort out there wit a subaru engine and runnin gear i seen it at at rallies but not sure who owns it. probally better off breakin tat subaru hard decission 2 make :icon_redface:

tough one alright joe but as said he will probably be better off breaking it might be the only option with the least amount of hassle

theres loads of hassle involved in breaking a car mate!!!!
its just that its the best way to recoup as much money as possible from this type of car!!!

nice one marko i just meant it would be less hassle breaking it than re shelling the job of taking bits off and putting them on another car would be a right pain
