I wouldnt be suprised if it was toyota behind the new impeza they have always had "boring cars" its not looking good for subaru now i would say its going to be in toyota hands by the end of the year another nail in the coffin for subaru

I think the Toyota connection will actually be the saviour of Subaru.

Toyota may get the awd technology but in return Subaru will get valuable emissions technology which will reduce the emissions of the WRX and STI to our benefit. As matters stand the WRX & STI are both in the top emissions band which means 2,000 road tax every year which will do more to hurt the brand than anything else.
