I guess I'll pop this up here for all you Subaru heads.

Hopefully gone before the weekend to someone who has experience with this.
A lot of interest already as expected she is a cracker of a car to be fair and generally spotless but she has a couple rust issues in the jacking points and along the skirts either side, front crossmember ideally needs doing too.
Boot is bone dry, along with the floor bed in good health.
Engine is bone dry and running 100%.

Small bubble appearing on driver side rear arch. To be honest you can barely see it until ya have your nose on it, but it's there.

Paintwork is pretty flawless besides and not as much as a ding in it.
Or at least I have yet to spot one.
But under the spoiler looks like it was welded on a bit rough but again ya wouldn't notice until your up against it.

Was informed by someone who knew the car this was intended to break the 400 barrier but came up just short.

This was an Rkings win but unfortunately came without any build work or any service history or anything I have tried to get hold of it but no go.
Previous owner also had a folder of receipts but sold before the build happened.

Ye it might or mightn’t he .

This is not a dig at your car or having a go but it costs the same to vrt a mint car as it does to vrt a car needing work ,
but the unknown with vrt at a guess it is 5K or 9K then add the welding in a top of that it’s just unquantifiable Of what price it is going to stand you all in . It’s really great value for the lads up north as it’s 7700 and the welding
You’re going to be up at nearly 20k here with vrt welding and paint at that price would be better off getting a fresh JDM import at that kind of money it’s definitely what I would do

She's being picked up on Sunday morning anyways by a mechanic. To be fair that's the only lads that could do it without spending a ball on labour costs. Vrt was actually coming in at 6750 as she's Northern reg rather than Uk so she had that in her favour. But alas. 9k asking price received. Going to Kilkenny 🙏

Great stuff.
On a side note in my opinion its bad form on the RKings side to have a car needing all that welding as a prize.
Mate of mine won a 03 sti off them 3 years ago and she was rotten underneath too.


Saying that doesnt stop me buying a ticket everytime I see a scooby coming up 🫣

🤣 Facts, but sure look there's so much cars going through that place it's hard get every one of them on a lift before raffling, no harm done. I got a Wrx STI delivered to me door for €40. As disheartening as it was seeing underneath at least she'll be saved.
