Rough cost of V.R.T

Hi lads , just wondering the rough cost of bringing a car in from England or up north ! I'm looking for a classic , doesn't have to be an s.t.I just in decent nick . I've been looking at a few in England but wondering would the duty just blow my budget right out of the water ? Anyone done it recently ?

Something 98 or under , will be insuring it on classic insurance , I'm open to pretty much everything bar the year

all 2dr are 4400

4drs range from 2500 to 4400 depending on year

wrx or sti same price so just get a sti to make it worthwhile

why you bother getting one from uk ? they rust very badly over there
no real savings these days either

I'm not really , just looking for information to see if it would-be worth while , it doesn't look like it is ! Cheers for info
