These come with all weather Hankook Evo2 tyres 225/40 with plenty of thread left on them. I will not separate them from the tyres. These were refurbished from black and fitted with new caps from Enkei. Selling to make space. These saw very little road time as the car was not driven daily during the 1 year that they were fitted on the car itself. I'm looking for a home for these bad boys. One nick on one wheel. A fence hit it during a storm last year unfortunately.

These are the perfect wheel to suit any model Subaru and being 18”, they fill the arch of Newage model Imprezas or Foresters especially. Paired with a lower stance and a great suspension setup, the wider wheel will give your car the aggressive look it needs to impress on the road and at events. The additional stretch gives you a ‘meaty’ look without having to spend a fortune on new tyres until the thread on these have gone.

€950 with a €50 deposit or higher.

Serious buyers only. I have already had my time wasted by one guy so that is why a DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED via PayPal. Collection is preferred. Based 10 mins from Galway City.

Congrats on sale
To get the stretch tyre do you buy a tyre that’s to small for rim in width and what’s the benefit I am just curious and don’t know anything about it

in short you dont need it unless you really really really really really really want to fit a particular set of wheels that weren't ment for your car on a first place lol

You buy a tyre that’s slightly too small for the wheel. Its about doing research and figuring out which size works. 225/40 were stretched on a 9.5 wide wheel but wouldn’t be stretched if it were a 9” wide one for example. I got warned last time about the stretch but still passed the NCT.

I still have stretch on my new Work wheels and I love the look of them. I wouldn’t run a stretched tyre if you are doing mad driving or mountain runs. It will de-bead off the wheel and you will land on your rim. Unlikely to happen unless you run crazy stretch but always a chance. Hard sale but glad to have these gone and money for the car.

in all seriousness, impreza arches are good for 8'' wide wheels with good tires. You may get away with 8.5 for a 'flush' fitment (or 8.75 xxr have them) but after that the wheel is pocking out off the arch, so to look half decent (and not like offroad jeep) you need to bring the tire back towards the arch (to stretch it). Usually this is by getting smaller side wall or width. There is no benefit whats so ever its just for looks. By stretching the tire you expose the wheel lip to damage and ruin the confort, but the wheel looks well and allowes you to fit concave face and aggressive set up.
@Eanna 225/40 are little bit stretched on 9'' wide wheels. :54:
