How to contact subaru japan. ??

gttjohn

Sunday Drivers
I'm trying contact subaru japan as I contacted subaru Singapore looking for exact numbers of red bl5 manual saloon blitzens where made as its my last resort I can't find anything on the web I've been searching for nearly 2years any help much appreciated lads

You need to determine what factory your car was made in bye the vin plate
Then you need to ring the factory as they dont have e mail only phone numbers
factories can be found here
You never know maybe tehy have someone who speaks english and you can get a e mail adress of them etc.
I see a Guy did the u.s. build numbers

https://legacygt.com/forums/showthr...05-production-numbers-model-color-83304.html?

https://www.subaru.co.jp/en/outline/office.html

Is yours a Blitzen ? maybe easier to find there numbers

Tried the US one but they didn't get the 2.0 twinscroll ,how can u tell from the vin number which factory it was built in, I tried China email and they told me they couldn't help too, youas it was built in Japan ,I thought they could just type in the vin and say a certain amount was built in that trim I know there are two in Ireland and 5 or so in the UK in the UK Same trim colour sedan manual blitzen in red, just for personal interest ide love to know

Why don't you try putting up a thread on UK Legacy or Subaru Legacy International?
When I had my blitzen I got loads of info on those two sites.
Subaru Legacy International's website is something like s-li.net or something like that.

I read there somewhere before of build numbers for the BE Legacy Blitzen, think it was 400 manual in 2001 IIRC...

As you'd expect these sites are great for the real nitty gritty Legacy specific stuff.

PM me your car VIN details, my sister in law is Japanese - I’ll ask her to email Gunma for you

i think colour and manual only might hinder his search so call them direct an see if you can get anywhere with it be best option
imprezas a lot of numbers on the factory / STi limited models its easier to find out
the legacys seem a bit different to track down as not as common
supriesed there isnt more web presence as in a blitzen register etc.
is yours a Blitzen John ?

His is Blitzen yeah, and that red is extremely rare in the Blitzen models too.
AFAIK that's a Blitzen-only red. Other Blitzens were black, grey etc where as the more common colours were available in the GT model.
There was also a Blitzen 6 model, which was 3.0L N/A and again offered in that red, though I think that was only BE chassis
I think... lol

I suppose with the fact they're all JDM only, it makes finding information that little bit harder. Great if you can read Japanese ????

Wikipedia said they only come in red but then i seen this brochure and it has 4 colours

I can't say I've ever seen any other coloured BL5 Blitzen, but I was under the impression that they were available in those four colours alright...but then again they rare enough to see at all
I'd say it's been asked before with the Blitzen owners, and a Legacy specific site might be the place to go to.

Thanks lads very kind of you all for the pointers I'll have another search around the web

Guy on Instagram called ‘RapidJapan’ I think. He works teaching English to workers in a Subaru factory in Tokyo.

Didn’t get a pm man but here’s details on your car

sorry fozzy i posted it just a few posts back instead of pm ,thank you your a gentleman does the person know how many red manual blitzen units where built/sold as only available in japan not for export

I've been doing some digging myself, and honestly I'm getting no where ????????

I did find this article, (probably best to search for articles around the time it was to be released)
But it says that there was less BL Blitzen to be produced than the number of BE Blitzens they produced in 2001.

So,
250-350 probably produced (if I'm right about the 400 produced in 2001)
Less in manual
Less in red (I did see a good few pictures of black and grey BL/BP, including wagons)

http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/BU0504/S00242.htm

Point to note..
I can't remember where I read about the 2001 production only consisting of 400 Blitzen models... but I did read it somewhere lol ????????
