So after a year of driving the A3 Saloon I have made the leap back into an A6 Avant, in a spec I have always wanted. It's a 2015 Sline black edition auto with just over 75k on the clock. The lads in Audi Ballina drove it down sat week ago for a test drive and with deal done it was delivered to me on Friday last. I'm in love. It's the Ultra edition so 190 bhp 2.0 diesel and I have to say it's much smoother and more torque than the 2013 one I had previously. It has power tailgate, climate control front and rear and flappy paddle gearbox, aswell as full Bose stereo system

One big problem with the new A6 was the wheels, they are 20 inch genuine Audi Rotors and 3 of them had bad road rash. AUDI Ballina were to repair them but they made a balls of them, the lacquer turned a milky colour and peeled off after the valeting dept used a seriously strong wheel cleaner on them. I spotted this on delivery and kicked up a fuss. Luckily they saw the error of their ways and the wheels are currently in Rim Solutions for a full refurb including original colour match with diamond cut on the rim. Pics of how bad the rims were, and the A6 looking sorry for itself on 17inch alloys until Saturday when the wheels will be ready

I have already done some coding on the car with OBDEleven, such a cool app and very handy to use.

On start-up the clocks do a full sweep like the legacy used to. I coded the rear tailgate to close from the fob, knocked off the start stop function. Switched on the rear lights with DRL, enabled video in motion and a few other little bits n bobs.

Next plans are diamond coat/ceramic coat. Change badges for Matt black versions, I already have the side Sline badges, and retro fit a reversing camera as the wife cannot park for S h 1 t

In fairness I bought my 2013 A6 for 35k at the time and sold for 31k 2 years later

The A3 Saloon I bought for 28.5 k and sold for 26.5k just over a year later

Not too bad by all accounts

Cracking looking cars

Very nice!

Had my share of Audi's over the years.
Never had a 2.0tdi though (1.6, 1.9, 2.5 5cyl, 2.5 v6, 3.0 v6 TDI's, and one petrol 2.1 5Cyl).

Got my wheels back from Rim Solutions today - cracking job as ever. That's 4 cars they have done for me and always a flawless finish
