Legacy B4 RSK - 1999 - Parts - Donor Car - advice

Hi All,

I returned home from travelling in March and set about getting my Legacy B4 on the road. I have done a huge amount of work to get it up to the standard i wanted, which in August i finally achieved.
However, life is cruel & last month it to was robbed from outside my house... engine blown and crashed :(

Insurance of course is useless, its not worth my while claiming. (My NCB will be brought back to 2 years from 9)

I have tried to find a good donor car or at least a car i could transfer my bits on to, but not it doesn't seem worth my while

The car is currently sat in my Dads garage, and i am in limbo whether to sell the sparkly bits off it and get rid of the shell, sell as a donor car (if interest is there), or keep with the possibility of eventually accumulating the parts and getting it back on the road.

Below is all the work carried out and a list of the parts.

2 x Rear arches professionally repaired (rust cutout and new plates welded in)
Both Rear quarters, front Bumper & back bumper resprayed (July 2017)
New lower radiator front panels imported from japan and welded in.
Genuine Rota GRA - Refurbished by myself, finished in Fiat Volcana
Blitz Nur Spec Back box with Brand new Icetronix - longlife 2.5'' center section with Sports Cat - fitted 9th Sep 2017 (just passed NCT Sep 17) - fantastic sound
New Bosch lambda sensor fitted with exhaust - Sep 2017
Apexi Air intake
Blitz turbo timer
2 x wind deflectors (passenger to be fitted)
Full service the weekend before it was robbed - typical!!
all interior was removed back in June and carpets and seats wet vac'd and refitted - in great condition.

currently - Bottom end knocking, Front bumper is damaged, read passenger door damaged...not ideal

Again, Any advice appreciated.

That is a rough dose of luck there man
Awful to hear that, insurance is never a help in these scenarios and it's a horrible thought to think that you wouldn't get a percentage of the money and effort back.
Using it as a donor car, I couldn't lol

After getting that so right for road to use it for parts would kill me.
Start over again if you ask me, and buy a donor.

Or just sell parts, good thing is, there's a lot of nice things there, and it's hard to find parts for that car, be left with shitty bits but you'd get a chunk back from breaking anyhow

:icon_sad: Very sorry to hear this . As the lads said after doing all the work and for it to happen is a real kick in the nuts . Hard enough get a clean shell now most need the front crossmember at this stage .

There a very clean 2002 1 for sale from a member on here that's being very well looked after if you were intrested . You could sell the parts you have and as much as you can and try and get your money back .

Very hard to know what to do .

Cheers lads. Appreciate the comments.

Its terrible luck to be honest.

@scoobysub - like you said, most need front cross member or arches, and i just bloody did both arches and cross member. Was a nasty job so really don't fancy doing it again.

I am half thinking ill break it, get what i can and try pick up a classic impreza in the new year. Have an itch for one again. I just picked up a lovely 05 msport 318ci for buttons and although fantasticly comfortable, so slow :) But it has me back on the road anyway.

Who is selling the clean 2002 b4?

thanks
