Either a dodgy No1 lead Ciaran or needs plugs.
Normally on those when the engine is at running temp the leads/s break down.
Could also be a ****y injector but would be very rare!

Is it lumpy? Misfiring?

Thanks Graham

1.0

I'll get him to double check leads

Running perfect idling smooth ect

Looks like lambda 1,I'd say a lead/plugs and possible throttle body issue.

I'd do a Compression test first though to rule that out.

Plugs should be fine once they are correct for that engine.
Be no harm changing the fuel filter, nobody changes them here unless it’s diesel.
I’d say the lambda is the issue, common on Vw.
