Hi folks, ready to get onboard the scooby bus!

    Hi all,

I'm in kilkenny and am a firm JDM fan, recently sold my Mazda Rx8 and still have my rx7 FD

My mileage has dropped a lot recently so I'm looking at getting rid of my shitbox santafe and getting a forester (we do family camping so I need my wife to think I'm getting something sensible!!!!!)

Anyway, I'm looking at a black 2001 forester s t/b Sti with a fair few mods done. I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about it - there can't be too many in the country?

    Cheers !

Is that victors old one from Sligo looks like spec. If it is it was mint when he sold it anyway. If you dig around here there should be more pics with reg. Also look in for sale section could be old advert from few years back.

By the way, I figure it's not an STI, rather a modded s t/b? As I don't think the STI was around until 2004??

    Thanks Colm

If it checks out I'd hope to pick it up next week and join you at japfest. I organised the rotary stand there last year and will be sending up the FD.

Looking forward to joining the gang and learning!!!!

Welcome to the club man. If the same l remember the car when she was for sale years ago. There was lots of money spent with some rare bits. The owner had created own page with lots of photos, spec and description. Sadly the page has expired now as l went looking for it few months ago and the link is dead. Type M would be the best spec as has all sti upgrades but is also a manual. I think they were limited amounts made and they fetch good price too. Looking forawd to seen it in person as is realy nice spec and so underated

Edit: here is the link to the sale thread:

    http://www.isdc.ie/forum/showthread....-STi-II-Type-M

Edit again: only waking up now and seeing that the link was posted and the car is different as auto. So stb it is then. This was also posted here not that long ago as l remember with Colm think it was victors old one

Yeah, have always loved the FD myself, I'm having a bit of a primary boost issue in the past few weeks so will check the actuator, solenoids and vac lines in the next few weeks and then get stuck into the cosmetics

I love the shape of them and the uneven burble from the vankel. There is one yellow and black around my shores but only comes out on dry sunny days
