New member
Hey recently signed up and hadn't got a chance to introduce myself, paddy is my name and this is my legacy wagon Blitzen edition I bought a few weeks ago. Many might recognise the car as a member owned the car previously. This is how I collected it body and paint wasn't great on the car with scuffs on all corners and stone chips, brakes where in need of attention, running gear was in great shape and interior also just needed a good clean. The car has a healthy spec as it was but had a few bits left to do to open up its potential, so I set to work and haven't stopped since......

Loving the site and look forward to being part of it.

Hi welcome along I've a blitzen too they're a little different I love the look of your car become a full member there is a few meets coming up very soon enjoy motoring

Peadar's noble steed. Tis a nice motor and Johnner scrubbed her up well!

When the NCT is due, give me a shout and I can loan you my cat for emissions. Peadar borrowed it when he put it through and it passed. Been on a few cars now and they all sail through.

Thaks very much John I'll be sure to think of you when the time comes, it is indeed peadar's old car alright but there was a owner between us but he didn't have it very long. I'm really enjoying the car I dare say more then I thought I would. Since buying it I've had the body and bumpers cleaned up and then sent it over to jcautocare for some love, that man has a passion for detailing can't recommend him enough.....

Apart from cleaning the body work up I got stuck in to rebuilding the brakes with turned out to be a nightmare! Going from near zero break effort on the front to what it is now was so worth it though. Had all the discs cleaned and skimmed stripped all 4 calipers down for a good clean and freshen up with new retaining bolts/sliding pins and jackets and also fitted new Ferodo ds2500 pads they weren't cheap but definitely worth the extra coin from what I've get here off the road so far but reviews say it should be mint on track also. Flushed the brake lines and put fresh high temp race brake fuild.........

I never like the porsche designed blitzen wheels I struggled with wheel choice for a while but in the end I went with the prodrive spec speedline pff7's with I had a friend refurb and spray a super fresh dark grey wrapped with fresh Goodyear rubber. These on top of the freshened up brakes really sealed the deal for me with the car. It transformed it's presence.

After all this it was time for my first proper spin in the car and myself n the missus had a family celebration to attend in killarney which was the perfect drive to bed in the fresh brakes nicely. As I did know what how long or even what oil was in the car I decided to grab a genuine filter and some Castrol 10w60 oil and get that done before the drive down

So havin got the car roughly to where it is visually with brakes and wheels done, body cleaned up it was time to dive into the performance side of things. The car ran great and had great performance but with the spec the car has it just need the exhaust sorted and a new front mount intercooler and new cold air intake would see intake temps drop and really open the cars potenial. So I set about finding the right bits online and soon found out the price of fmi on the market to be dearer the I expected and also few and far between unless I was willing to wait for them.to come from Japan but ultimately with the car have a closed deck engine I didn't know if off the self bits would mate to both the body and engine so I decided to get them fabricated he on home soil to fit the car and wow this guys work is amazing. Considering the hardship involved in make such items for this car is extensive the quality in the work did drop at all, with flow and efficiency the order of the day he recommended then designed custom expansion tank, custom oil filler neck and custom window washer bottle was all needed (glad I didnt buy off the net) highly recommend him for any exhaust cooling or even general fabrication the guy is talented with bang tidy results.......

With all this now completed I'm booked in with Angus at APperformance for mapping with the new goodies hopefully we get good results and everything goes smoothly.

Trained by Ian in Elite, I'd expect no less. I had KSports on my GC8 and they were savage even on track. Another member has bought them since and is looking to rebuild them so if you can guide him it'd be great as it seems certain seals etc are hard got and/or expensive. Pergo or Pergio is his username.

After Peadar I believe one of the lads from JDM Distro had it? Went back up for sale fairly quick after he bought it which I couldn't understand, unless he was making a profit which is OK!

Literally the things you've sorted is what held Peadar and Aonghus back!

AP mapped the car originally so (hopefully) it should be just a tweak to the new mods and be alot cheaper than a full remap.

Thats gona be one fine machine keep it up!
Be nice to see what she makes after Mr.Ap

He is going to map the car at a reduced rate but at the same time he says the map will quiet a bit out and will need work to see right again. Darren is his name he bought the car like most with his heart over his head and quickly found he wasn't using it enough and it was going waste and with no change coming decided to sell it on rather then leave it go to waste.

I didn't have to change my seals as they where all perfect I don't really kow how I could help him out there.

Ye ians eye n passion for detailing really stayed with joner and really goes the extra mile to get results for that reason he has maintained my bodywork on all my cats for years now.
