You had me worried so i called into my local garda station ( santry) and he said that since you are insured and VRT is booked( he said to carry these pieces of paper work which i have) that there should be no issue as they understand the issue with the vrt/nct system. I have his name and he said any issue can call him again. V helpful. He also said print the jap plates which the car previously had and display them in the mean time. Happy days.

Nice one have mine insured too , gonna get old jap reg on it and drive to vrt centre

When have you booked in your VRT booking? I'm going to keep checking for cancellations in the mean time.
