:clap:Welcome along Joe nice looking legacy  first thing to do is find out why it's runing on 3 cylinders could be as simple as a coil pack or as serious as a hole in the piston or anything in between Is there back pressure from the oil Cap when it running.

Welcome Joe,car looks nice,I'm in portlaoise aswell, with a grey legacy similar to yours. I've few spare coil packs if ya need one let me know.

Thank you for the welcomes car was purchased from kildare when my friend bought it, but has been in portlaoise ever since aparently car has a mines ecu that i dont know about i will have to search and see, i havent done anything with the car or looked at to why its running on 3 but prior to it happeneing the oil pressure gauge was jumping cant remember the figures but the plugs on the oassenger side the tips were burnt of them so fresh ones were put in, was driven out the motorway then afterwards car started running on 3 and plug tips on passenger side were gone again

Hard to tell over Internet but were the right plug lenght and heat range used And gaps checked . You really need someone who know what there looking at

Ah yeah a fella here named Fred had it before. Lovely car hope you get sorted with it anyways

So project has exceeded expectations of getting completed with in the time stated due to serious lack of knowledge but ended up buying a donor car this evening, I'm so looking forward to swapping the engine (sarcasm) ????I'm off work for a week in two weeks so will hopefully have the engine in and running will possibly get a new oil pump for peace of mind (opinions)? And will be getting timing belt, water pump, plugs service kit and new fluids

That was Danny from Limericks car at one stage, serious gear in it. Also those wheels were on my legacy at one point aswell haha.

Best of luck with it.

Is the donor car the 00 reg in the last pic? If so, I think it's quite a different setup from your RevD in the first pic.
RevD has smaller turbos and i think a slightly higher comp ratio. Possibly different loom due to different ECU aswell so It's not a simple case of swapping out the long engine. Or maybe you just want to use the short block.

Dont want to be pi55ing on the project and I hope I'm actually wrong!

All the best with it

Rev D has lower comp. Same as impreza 8.1:1. Rev A-C had 9.0:1.

And bigger primary turbo. But that can be swapped.

Different cam and crank pulleys..

Different manifold and wiring loom etc. Can be swapped from old.

Thanks for the input lads hopefully it goes smith basically if they are engine will work il use the out bits from old engine and put onto new engine
