Red8 - My 2003 Celica T-Sport

I had been looking for something cheap and cheerful to use for track days for a good while. Just couldn't bring myself to use the Scooby. Its my every day car and couldn't risk breaking it!!!

Iv always loved the celica and have had a few of them over the years. I had been watching donedeal regularly and went to view a few of them but the were shook as hell.

Eventually spotted this one and said id have a look at it.

Had a right good look at it for over an hour with a 20 minute drive included. Mechanically I couldn't fault it. Small noise from the release bearing but that was it. Body work wasn't bad either, both bumpers need a spray but no big deal for a track car.... It also needed two tyres and a full service. So I made my offer of €1,000 even, bit of humming later and she was mine!

So got it home and done my service. Air filter, oil filter and oil, cabin filter, new set of iridium plugs. Took it for a few drives and I have to say its a cracking car. The cam lift kicks in at 6,200rpm and the lift is amazing. So addictive. the total opposite to drive than the scooby. You have to red line this!

So got her out the last two days and gave her a right good cleaning inside and out.

Pity to park it up now and wait for a track day!

And track tyres even used ones on dd make a huge difference
Fair play it almost looks 2 good to track but fook it you only live once enjoy

Have a friend that's trying to get his hands on one. They are a very nice car and the power is amazing for the 1.8. Great purchase, all the best with it.

Im going to leave it as is. its too nice inside to go ripping it out for the sake of a few kilos. And i'd always have the option of putting it back on the road if I wanted to. Its nct'd till next January.

In fairness for a grand, with a squeaky release bearing that's a savage motor for someone to daily! inside looks lovely man.

Fair play lad should be good craic on track, get yourself signed up fir bazs trackday on the 26th Feb myself in the ka and Adrian in the saxo will be there ????

I had the tsport Corolla for a while, really fun car to drive and never gave me any major hassle. The water pump was leaking on it and that was about it. These celicas have got very cheap though.

Enjoy ????
