MY DC5 INTEGRA..

Heard that is a very restrictive exhaust system.

Never really see them for sale second hand. Don't really fancy spending over 1000 sterling for a cat back system

£1000 is insane for a cat back, had you considered going custom from the likes of icetronix? I got on one my saab, centre section back, for more noise but I specified that I didn't want any drone in the cabin but more decibels from the back. And they did what I requested, was perfect.

Yeah Dave its mental money for a cat back. All the exhausts for this car seem to be big enough money except for the really really loud systems such as buddyclub and skunk which I don't want.

Might call out Saturday to them to see can they do what I am after. Did it take long to fabricate ?

Not mine, a few hours and I waited in the shop but if youre doing a more comprehensive system id say get someone to come along and leave it with them for the day or even overnight, they do not rush their work that's for sure.

Id say call them, I usually deal with a guy called steven, tell him what youre thinking on the phone and he can give you a ballpark figure/timeline, but he might need to see it. Mind you they are Honda specialists so they probably will be fairly knowledgeable about your current setup.

Avoid the above mentioned like something very avoidable

It's not put restrictive at all pair it with a mugen airbox or a gruppe m and a hondata ecu and their are serious gains to be got. Plus maybe a de cat

I would say he means avoid icetronix in general not that their exhaust work is bad. They just don't have the best reputation for overall work

Yeh it was mapped but no need for cat back system. For the money the full system demands and gains they give in comparison to standard back box, header and decat, they're not worth it IMO.
That's very unusual....

Would you not see about a 20-25bhp increase for a full system header back once its mapped.

I would say midrange would increase quiet a lot too.

Full system wasn't checked. Swapping OEM back box for twin loop loses mid range with standard ECU. It's a poor bolt on.

For the price of the full twin loop system, you'd save money and get same gains by leaving oem back box and invest in a header and decat.

Would a header and decat make much difference in terms of loudness with the oem b pipe and back box still silenced ?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am new to the whole vtec scene :)

Try the Honda forums. You'll prob have better luck there. As far as I know there's a dedicated one for your integra model. Loads of info there. Might help

Depends on header and decat. I had buddyclub and was nice. A lot more free revving and gave a bassy growl. Nowhere near antisocial and no "drone" when on motorway.
