that 1.6hdi engine is in nearly every yoke around and i hate the sight of them.

i have never seen one over 150k miles as long as ive been working on them.

We have both at home.
The 1.4 golf is a good engine if minded but suffers a world of trouble too.
My 99 Passat has 164miles on it and never misses a beat.

Old turbo diesels are great before all the DPF EGR cooler shite came about.
If your doing big miles get an old diesel you buy a minter for less than 2grand.
