Latest bit of progress on the saxo is actually getting the bodies fitted. I used a new spurious throttle cable as it comes in kit form and can be cut to length. I also used the end piece from the bike to fix it correctly on the mounting bracket.

I had to cut the connectors on the omex loom and hard wire to the bike plugs. This worked well using solder and heat shrink so should be good joints. I'm not a fan of any crimp connectors. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator fitted on the return it's just needs to be fixed in a good location at a later stage.

As the GSXR bodies don't come fitted with return, I had to modify the rail using another intake pipe from another GSXR rail. I checked this setup with DanST in the uk and he said this would be spot on.

On first attempt yesterday the car fired up and ran idle lovely. It won't that throttle as the fuelling and TPS will need to be correctly mapped. The plan is to get the whole thing tidied up and the velocity stacks fitted next week. Then it's back to Westward for mapping and hopefully makes 1000 bhp[emoji23][emoji23][emoji106]

I got a chance to connect to the ecu and check TPS settings. They looked way off so I adjusted accordingly. Not sure if this is any better yet as kids were asleep and couldn't start the car. All going well it's in for map tweek next week.

This is coming along nicely man. I'll be over this evening you boil the kettle and I'll bring the bourbon biscuits :lol2:

Got some time last night to setup the TPS with the omex map 4000. Really seater to work with and would love to know a little more about it. The saxo will still need mapping but it's taking some acceleration now[emoji106]

Looks like the saxo is going back to phase 2 front end! With my phase 1 front end getting a little tatty from some close racing last year it's time to freshen up. The phase 2 bonnet and head lights are very heavy so the decision was made to go fibreglass. We started on the moulds for the bonnet and wings, it's a slow process but will be worth it in the end. The plan is to run a hidden cold air feed on the under side of the bonnet to supply the throttle bodies. Wing and arch will be all one piece, this should save a small fortune on Tec-7 sticking them back on[emoji23]

Now that's a cool idea! Hmm..... Make a bonnet! And wings, for a celica.....

Is there much too it Adrian? I don't even know where would a lad get the materials? Defo be worth looking into. Would save a nice bit on weight.
