Cheers Gordon it has exceeded my expectations if I'm honest. We still need too adjust a few bits but it was very slippy out there and I'd say I was as quick as I was before in the dry.

Got started fitting the plumbed in fire extinguisher last night. It's quite an involved job with 4 spray points in engine bay and two in cabin. Just got all my pipe work and nozzles done last night so should get back at it Friday evening. I'll also need to fit a new seat as I have spotted mine is out of date [emoji17]

Another little job done last night. The plan to keep the car cooler is fit an alloy lip under the bumper to help air flow into the rad rather than dropping below. I could have infringed on production class regs as we can't run air dam splitters but for now I'd rather keep the car cool as I won't be doing full Championship I don't mind if I can't score points.

I started with a 500x2000 piece of 2mm aluminium.

Marked up cut out and made some aluminium mounting brackets.

I also made some brackets to brace it to the chassis legs for added strength.

This should divert the cold air where it's needed most.

cherish the moment, they rarely look like that after itcc. make sure your camera is on(you might need it for evidence). don't try to win it on the first lap, try figure out what the guys are like around you. qualifying is important, if itcc is on its own you'll be ok, if they mix it with another class you'll struggle for a clean lap.
best of luck.

Very successful first run in the ITCC production class yesterday. Qualifying 3rd for race one I quickly jumped into 2nd off the line and got the lead with a move up the inside on the dog leg. I pushed hard to say in front of the more powerful B18 Integra but he just had it on the main straight. I went on to achieve my PB of 1:06.352 in this race which was only .5 of a second off the best lap of the Integra. Race 2 was much the same, starting in 2nd I got an early lead of the line until a drag race down the main straight seen me demoted to 2nd. I had good fun chancing hard for a few laps and keeping well in touch for the race. Very happy with the weekends work and all racing was clean and fair. I know I can close the time gap with Seat time and a little more car development. It's all very new and I'm learning the Cars new limits. The car was getting very hot and that didn't help as it backs off the power as a result. On a plus side they weighed my car after race 1 and it's 910 kg with me in so that leaves me with 60kg to dump someway! Think it's time for the angel grinder and gym membership [emoji23]
The best tyres we can to use are ADO8R so it does close the production class quite a bit. But overall it was a very positive first race of the season and looking forward to jumping back in very soon[emoji106]
Massive thanks as always to Declan Carey for all his tireless help and advice,he is truly the back bone of all development on this car from day one and is always coming up with great ideas for further improvements[emoji106]
