Work as started on the new upgrades for next season.Plans so far is to fit new Gaz gold Coilovers and rear shocks which I have sourced from 106 parts Ireland Facebook page.This should really help with wet setup.I also plan to rebuild the gearbox and fit a LSD also to help with traction on wet races.Ill most likely take out the engine and give it a good check over while changing water pump oil pump and belts.
Gona be a busy winter[emoji106]

Some more stripping down this evening[emoji106]
I'm thinking I might get the head ported and polished while I'm at it,I know Martin Tracey would be a good man for this job but if anyone would like to recommend anyone else?Also if anyone has an idea of cost for this kinda work that would be great[emoji106]

So few more bits been going on this week,finally got the engine and box out and started the strip down of both.

Also picked up some nice Gaz Gold Coilovers with top mounts and rear adjustable shocks also.These have been sitting up for a while but got very little use.They have 300lb springs and are from factory with some negative camber[emoji106]

Cheers lads plenty of stuff planned.Never ported and polished a head before but have been doing plenty or research and with the correct tools it looks very doable.Have all new valve seals,gaskets,head bolts,manifold studs and nuts ordered so starting to gather up the stuff.Cup Ecu is coming from Portugal in told with my cams and mods it should add around 10bhp and hopefully the head work should give a little also.Id be very happy around 150 bhp with the car bring so light and more grippy it should make a big difference.

Got a spare hour this afternoon,so started to strip down the engine.I have been thinking about doing the head work myself but may look at getting a proper gas flow job done on it.I know the gains won't be huge for the money as Westward are looking around 500 for the job.But I know there work is very good.If anyone has any opinions or other options I'd be happy to hear them!

I ported and polished a few heads for myself on escorts and got one ported,polished and gas flowed professionally and there wasn't that much difference! It takes a shockin long time doin it yourself though

Cheers lads I think I'll get this one done by Westward as time can be an issue,and I'm afraid I'd rush it.I have a spare engine at home so when I see how it's really done I'll attempt doing that head myself.would you expect much gains from port and polish work?

5/7 Bhp nothing massive I'd say but every little helps Not sure it will out weigh the cost but it will be a gain :thumbsup:

I'm hoping the head work with the Cup spec ecu that I'll have extra 10bhp or 15bhp.
As it is its 140 so I'd be very happy at 150 and bonus at 155[emoji106]
