Track day car

Can you not strap them around the bar instead of bolting them I remember reeding some where that the belts should run straight back from seat rather than down to the floor something about the angle of the belt

Jaysus your flying along man
it will be so satisfying blowing around in something you built yourself

Ya I can't wait to get it on track I'm really enjoying this build because I'm not using the car it's nice to just have it sitting on stands and poke away when I get time:)
I seen the same about the harness they can't be straight down to the rear foot well or adobe the shoulder or pulling of centre so I think I'm ok with this setup I know it's solid so should be safe[emoji106][emoji106]

Fixed the inner harness brackets under the car, used some flat plate for extra strength as this metal is not that strong but should hold now.hope I never find out!!

Had the man flu for the last few days so no progress with the car.
But started back this evening with some bits.

OMP short shifter fitted worked out well and looks the part, also started the wireing for relocating the battery using 25sq high temp cabling.

25x10 lugs crimped for battery cut off switch.

Used these old neutral link boxs to join the cables under the bonnet good for 100 amps.

Strut brace came today so this will bolt on when I finish the suspension also want to source a lower strut while I'm at it I believe there a good job on the Saxo.

I'd say it will be tight but if I had all the bits it would not take long to get it together,so I hope it works out, there will still be lots to do next year I'm going to do the cams throttle body and head for few more BHP I'd love to get it around 160:)

Or dreams!!but I'll be always be tinkering with it the lad I bought it off has a ported and polished head and will do me a good deal if I want it so that would be half the battle, and just go with a enough of a set of cams without changing the ecu.

Didn't like the poxy chrome plate that was with the battery kill switch so I removed all the bits and made a new piece from the parcel shelve'also worked well for me window switchs:)

Ha ha noting wrong with the Ka,I'm happy with how it worked out'the old parcel shelve material is strong and still easy to work with.
