Track day car

Last few bits of video from the GoPro starts with a lap from the TA group final then some random laps from the track day,only seeing now I had a nice battle with a bmw while me and Dec were talking sh1t[emoji23]
The end part is the same as the start lap must have made a mistake with the editor[emoji30]

Great piece of on-board footage, balls of steel

The biker even more so to hold that speed on corners there is unreal and if he runs an inch too wide he's brown bread
 
Id love to know what's in that 106 at the start I thought he wasn't up to much but when you watch the full video it's some machine[emoji1]
He must know the track very well but is is a very good pilot with plenty of balls!credit to the camera man too[emoji106]

I watched full lap, great little l e car to go, five speed box from what I could see but it had great top end grunt towards end of lap

Dangerous enough undertake between Renault Megan's sport and green Porsche gt3 but I suppose he saw the gap and went f or it.

Great lap to watch
 
Love his gear ratios that's me standard gearbox and I want that blip between changes[emoji106]

After some thinking about next season and a meeting last Tuesday night with future classics championship lads,the plans are to enter the Saxo into the full championship for 2016.
Only thing I have to do is change the front end to phase 1 and rock on[emoji106]
Early next year I'll need to get my racing licence which will cost 250 euro and a half day training course but I always wanted a chance to race a car so this is it.
While I'm at it the car will get a full make over for the season and some other nice bits between now and then.

Phase one front end picked up today got lucky with some angle eye lights too[emoji106]

Best of luck with it adrian, no doubt will be a great success. Nothin but admiration for the amount of work in a relatively short time frame you have achieved. If I give you the mx5 for 3 days it would be miles ahead of where i am in a year!!
 
Just sourced a rare 4.54 FD for my MA vts box this should make for much better gearing around mondello.

Next job will be to pick up an LSD when funds allow and bit by bit I'll build the box and get it all swapped over again.


These were the numbers at 7000rpm which looks better in theory.

You did Keith he is on Facebook as Saxo Rx that's where I seen it on the 106 parts page,it's a PSA one it's supposed to be stronger than the rallye FD for larger power cars.
He has to buy in 5's and only has a few when he needs one so he was selling 3[emoji106]

Great day out yesterday at the Dyno day[emoji106]delighted with making 139.2 Bhp it was better then expected on a standard ecu and map.i was also surprised with 121 lbft but I now know I make most of the power between 5000 rpm and all the way to the limiter at around 7700rpm looking at the graph.

Next big job will be to fit my new 4.5 PSA crown wheel and pinion into the vts box then replace it with the 1.1 box I'm running at the moment.
Just cleaned off some work space today and got a little start on the job.
I have never done one before so I'm looking forward to the challenge[emoji106]
