Crankshaft breaks and destroyed the block 5-7 k to fix secondhand ones cant be got . And it's hit and miss very common in 08-09-2010-2011. Problem seem to be fixed after that but not sure 🤔

I heard a lot of that issue was blocking DPF? Would that be correct

Ya Dec did mention they had a habit of breaking them.
Maybe I’ll do more research. Also read somewhere that there was an issue with crank bearing housing, where alloy meets steel!

Have a guy looking to swap a 2012 forester commercial for it. Don’t really want one but could look at fitting seats and convert to crewcab. I’d keep the car if she would drive it, but she is a tad frugal when it comes to transport cost

Last night myself and Dec got stuck into the Saxo getting it ready for the Season. First up was to replace the rear pads and a full break fluid change. We also completely stripped all the livery from the car as I’m going for a new look for 2018.

    Track day car

Bonnet and wings back on with new paint. The car is now in for its new livery and should be ready Tuesday evening. Really looking forward to seeing how it turns out. It’s always hard to tell from a 2D image what it will look like. The main color will still be yellow but matt rather than day glow. I think it might have more of a retro look which would be fitting
