Last night I got a got a chance to get back doing some work on the car. First job was to refill the gearbox with Titan Race LS90 gear oil, because I like starting with the handy jobs. I picked to some nice 78mm flexi pipe from Murray's yesterday which should be perfect for the cold air feed into the new air box.
I also got back to work on the air box and started making the back plate and top plate.
Fits like a glove[emoji16]
The top plate was handy to make but I'll fit some nice hinges do I can easily open it for inspection or removal.
All that's left now is to fit hinges and make up two side panels. I have a 83mm hole saw which will be the perfect size for the hose pipe. Coil and FPR will be relocated at a later stage. I was chatting one of the guys in itcc and he recommended wrapping the box with battery insulation to keep heat out, sounds like a good idea[emoji106]
I'll have to make something for the bumper to collect as much cold air as possible. I might use some 3mm foamex for this as I have loads left over from making door cards.
