Anyone got any opinions on which is best? Have any of you owned or driven either? What I like is the fact both are quick on paper and you could live with both as an everyday road car, low tax and high mpg. Personally I think the Peugeot has the edge in the styling department!
 
wouldn't care about headline figures, the ST will be better built and have better residuals
 
Seen that fifth gear and a report by /drive on YouTube. I guess there both a bit girlie.
 
As a Peugeot mechanic I've had the pleasure if actually driving the 208 gti and let me tell you a tiny car with 200bhp, as soon as you get it on a good driving road the "girlieness" of it soon goes away. I know I'm starting to sound very bias the styling of the fiesta is very cool and aggressive looking I just think the 208 has better little details which really finish a car. And on the reliability note in my experience no one really buys something like this and drives it forever anyway.
