Lads I'm going to get a hid kit for my car but was checking on the net to see what bulbs are in my car.

Some were saying h4, others 9005 bulbs,

I decided to take out my bulb to check and they are h1 bulbs.

Can't seem to find a hid kit for them bulbs or am I wrong.

Googled the bulb h1 and it's the same as what I took from the car.

Anyone able to give me advice on the issue.

Cheers
Keith

I don't mind changing them around for nct Eli just wanted to see what the story was with them hid kit wise.

I read a old post you had put up about bulbs, what did you replace your bulbs with.

Did you go just with upgrade bulbs and if so how is the brightness.

Yeah Keith I just upgraded bulbs to osram night breakers, think they were H1 bulbs., I'm very happy with the brightness of them, better than standard anyway, wouldn't be comparible to HID though!

Try hids-direct .I got a h1 kit of them no problems.

What you need is a set of 8000k bulbs, in a hid kit.
Paid 60euro for mine.ages ago off donedeal.

Make sure to get slim ballast packs as it is much neater to fit in the engine bay.

When fitted get your lights adjusted properly so they don't blind people.
I've mine adjusted below the Nct requirement.

They still won't pass the Nct though!

Keith as kilfree just said check out hids direct i just looked on their website and they do the h1 hid kits i can't post up the link as i'm the phone, they have an ebay site i just googled hids direct and the ebay link came up in the search

As said not legal for NCT

And 4300k is factory.

8000k way too blue/purple imo.

Why bother?

If want to invest money. Do with o.e jdm xenon headlights

Cheers lads will check them out.

I was thinking that Dave but probably mad money to get the headlights.

I thought 6000k hid kit be better.

I think they look great as when Ido be in DUFFMAN impreza the light is so clear and crisp and 6000k is best matched to them.

I am not mad about anything above 6000k as there is a blue tint of them.

Keith I got my 6000k set of the lads in kells. Its only cost 55 for the set and good sides to match are 10. A few lads would have seen them in my car and I think they look really well. Anything else you need to know give me a txt...0876239381

Cheers Luke, I bought a set from hid direct so should have them in the next day or two.

Any special fitting procedures needed when fitting or are they plug and play.

I've had no nct issues with the hid kit fitted, with two tests gone through.
