Not very likely someone will get their hands on an internal drive to fit the tuner nut to rob your nuts or wheels. They're a lock nut in their own right.

These ones have a certain pattern. You can get internal drive nuts with patterns from completely square like a 1/2" socket to 5 points to 8 points and then these are splined 10 points it seems from the photos.

no look at the pic again the tuner have a silver key / bolt that sits in to the hole in them and turns them
while to others a socket goes on the outside off them
basically the tuners cant be taken off with a standard wheel brace unless you have a key
just like a lock nut providing added security so your wheels arent swiped
