Also started the mock up of the front suspension changes I'm going to make on the ka. Iv decided that I'm going to cut out the original shock turrets and weld in a plate to accept e46 BMW front camber mounts but the plate will be slotted to allow longitudinal movement of the e46 top mount thus giving me camber and castor adjustability I'm hoping to achieve 1 to +9 degree's castor 0 - -3 degrees camber did a rough relocation today with the help of David Nolan ( he seems to always be there when the poor ka gets chopped up). You can see from the pics the difference right side is standard as it sits now with -3 degrees camber, left side is relocated and sits at -1.5 degrees camber and +8 castor ,on a half turn of the steering wheel I'm getting -4 degrees camber ????
I'm afraid and excited to do it Joe if I **** up its a mess to fix if it goes how I'm planning it should be awesome and really mess with people's heads that have way more power, the track day should be exciting;-)
So got a mate of mine to machine two caster plates to accept the e46 BMW camber plates I bought, he did a serious job on them so now let the cutting begin ???? ???? ????
that is baus! I was always wondering, how do you get good coilovers on cars like... Ka... or Corsa... or other mainstream vehicles that were never designed to be tuned... now I know!
Are you going to have her on coilovers on Trackday?
