Anyone know anything about this car? http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2360091 .. Bit on the expensive side but looks good

Or this one: http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2445818 .. irish car apparently but has dccd and yet I can't see the bits of trim over the rear arches to signify wide track?

Or this: http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2432066

Or this one: http://www.cbg.ie/car_detail.aspx?ID=3898221

The grey 1 is more than i want to spend but it is nice.. Red one is a doosy... The only uk/irish pre widetrack blobs to have dccd were the wr1's afaik

my blob spec c has dccd nov/02 :dontknow:
[/quote]

Its a jdm so it would have dccd alright. Yours is an 03 but reg'd in late 02 in the limited number of pre-release orders.

I was but I'm finding it impossible to find a type r that has potential. A spec c is too far out of budget judging by the ones on donedeal for 16, 19 & 24k respectively. One would be ideal but i cant spend that amount unfortunately. A jdm blob with twin scroll and dccd gearbox has lots of potential and the newage blocks and dccd boes can take 400 all day long as long as they haven't been previously abused. I'm listening to advice from people who are offering it and it would be a lot cheaper and easier to get a jdm blob up to 360ish (without changing turbo) than it would be to get a classic just up to 320. I know there's a weight difference but the newage is just a better built, more reliable car.

In saying that, I'm still on the lookout for a good clean classic type r, may even consider an ra at this stage. I love the blobs and coupe's so they'd be first choice over a classic 4 door.

If i don't find something soon, I'll be waiting until the new year as the car would be locked up for the winter anyway. Hopefully something good come up soon

maybe you should be less concerned on spec
and maybe find something you could drive for a while and sell on
if such a car exists
just a tought Robbie

It's nothing to do with spec colm, as i can add bits and pieces on myself to make it faster or handle better but if you start with a heap of sh*t that's rusting, rotten, has had previous heavy crash damage, then you're always going to have that same heap of sh!t underneath all the add-ons.

I'm in need for something for the track day but unless i find an impreza i want then i won't be buying a cheap impreza for the track, I'd rather pick up a cheap civer, integra, beemer etc like you did. Unless you want to rent the saxo to me for the day? Surely you can't drive all 3

i wouldnt go for any of the above unless the black one is 7 grand(i cant find a price on it)

has your budget changed rob?? as all the others are over priced imo

decided to not bring the saxo to the track
its gonna be my new project and every day car :icon_headbang:
yeah I hear what you are saying
but just trying to throw a different perspective for you on to your quest of finding a car
your head must be fooked by now driving up and down the country looking at lemons
I know what is like to get a good solid clean car
there far and few between
You will find the right car Robbie no doubt

geez johnny...
a 5 year old sti for 12,500k cant be overpriced man..
its people who are desperate to sell that seem to command the value of cars at the minute.lads sticking up a price and then next day its a price drop and so on till its sold.crazy stuff!!

you have a point mark, fair enough

maybe im wrong on the 06 car but im not on the other two

at the end of the day the silver one is still only blobeye from 05 but with only one owner its ok priced.

silver on the other hand, might aswell be buying a focus

think your spot on with the others johnny
i know we all have valuations on our cars and that but to think my 05 will only fetch 10/11k is sick...
i'd strip it to parts before i let it go for that money imo..
