Today.........I started my car.....................after doing the following over the last few months.

• Timing belt kit - Gates belt, Aisin water pump with metal gasket, tensioner, 3 x pulleys
• Subaru upper and lower radiator hoses - c/w 4 clips
• Subaru HT ignition leads
• NGK PFR7B's
• Oil & filter change
• Coolant change

• Painted front bumper, front splitter and rear bumper
• New bumper clips
• New rear number plate lights and brackets
• Brand new rear bumper bar - old one corroded
• Front bumper bar cleaned and painted
• Refurbished Morette headlights - new clips, screws, Hella lamps, bulbs & relay
• All new crystal front indicators, side lights & side repeaters - new bulbs also
• Clean and paint power steering cooler pipe, top of rad area and radiator fan shrouds
• Treated front of car
• New rear Subaru 20mm ARB, Superpro polybushes and upgraded clips, brackets & bolts
• New anodised Superpro rear droplinks & bolts

• New front 294mm "J Hook" discs and Kevlar pads
• New rear 290mm "J Hook" discs and Kevlar pads
• New front and rear caliper clip kit & pins
• Brakes bled, new Dot 4 brake fluid
• New battery, new billet aluminium battery clamp and stainless steel threaded rods
• Stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers for engine bay
• STi intercooler mesh cover
• New Subaru exhaust donut, gasket, front downpipe to turbo gasket, bolt, spring & nut kit
• New genuine STi leather gearknob
• General tidy up

• New oil filler cap & O ring
• New Subaru PCV inlet manifold valve
• New radiator cap
• Both sides rocker cover gaskets, spark plug seals, rocker cover washers & bolts and oil separator gaskets
• New magnetic sump plug & washer
• New Subaru coolant header tank - c/w turbo hose and clips
• Both intercooler gaskets replaced
• Rear diff oil
• Gearbox oil


• T-Cut and wash!

Done everything myself except for the timing belt kit and painting the front/rear bumpers. Great to be driving it again.

That would be interesting to know. Anybody here able to estimate the labour only?

I have to say the ISDC forum was a great source of information. Not so long ago I would just about have been brave enough to do the do oil service. Needs must!

Many long/late/cold nights after work. Like you all know a great sense of satisfaction when you can look back and say I did it.
