Daily and road trip. 10,000km a year.

No need for diesel for that mileage. Our 1.6 FSI Skoda gets 7l/100km. (Better if I'm driving) and will do about 5.5l/100km on a steady motorway journey.

Switching to such a small daysul engine, you could find yourself ringing it's neck at times.

At those miles get yourself a 1.6 petrol 6 speed golf. Comfort and decent enough mpg. I know golfs are 10na penny nowadays bit theyre a reliable enough yoke. I wouldn't consider diesel at that mileage, them astras are a pain in the hole too. No temp gauge is a serious slip up from opel too. Little light comes on to let ya know it's roasted ha!

Anyways up to you, you'll be the one driving it not any of us!

Thats it, road trip to galway to knock some sense into Eanna. You do not need a JCB engine to potter around the place doing 10k a year.

Small petrol engine for sure, still cheap tax, heats up quicker on short hops, isnt a diesel, sounds better, cheaper, isnt a diesel and most importantly of all IS NOT A DIESEL.
