What did you do to your car today?

The factory fuel pump is perfectly fine on the TD04 Set up. (Hawk 2.5 wrx)

The original tmic on a sti turbo upgrade again is perfectly fine. (On hawk 2.5 wrx)

Obviously the elephant in the room is always piston ringlands or head gasket issues.
It always is the elephant in the room with the 2.5 ????
But I'm not going to worry about it until it happens, I'll do exactly like previous imprezas iv owned stg 1 Mods and drive her on if it blows it blows.

Do you reckon that shitty plastic intercooler is up to the job dave? I taught the Sti one would be a better option for the ring to keep IA Temps down

Yeah fuel pump is advisable but not 100% essential
He doesn't need injectors either if goes STi turbo
Or intercooler
There cheap enough to get nice power
Hawk cheaper than other models to do few bits with engine and exterior to get the Sti look same scoop and skirts already ,no winglets required
Obviously wagons need the wings
Best value subarus out there if bought right I think
As long as don't get what you mentioned but few in club still going strong

Yep thats the way all imprezas should be owned

You dont have a plastic intercooler??

Yes advise upgrade y pipe material.

Sure **** it colm if ya were to worry about them blowing ya would never drive them

I had to go out to check there now dave as I was doubting myself ????
Ye mine is the one with the plastic end caps on the cooler the core is obviously alloy but the rest is plastic

The sti one will not match undertray

The turbo compresor cover sits at a different angle with the hawk td04

So for correct fittment

Yes

New Age STi Turbo

Secondary air pump delete kit as in valves will foul the intercooler

So to clean fit

A full delete kit. Example RCM

Fit STi Turbo

Then Intercooler with y pipe and brackets from STi car

Also undertray to match.

Ah right thats a lot of bollocking and I couldn't be arsed! I'll just map it as it is with the decat. A map should improve the response on it

Ye just been reading on Duncan graham's site about the best route to go. It seems for what I want just a good exhaust, good induction (k&n typhoon already fitted) and a map then happy days.
I'm shocked reading his torque expectations 300-320 ib/ft that's probably on 98 octane but it's great torque

Ah lads

Really

Is this the half arsed response givin to lads

Everything once you own one is a put down

This is what spilt many many forums in UK up.

It seems they who shout loud enough is the winner

What is that all about?

Yes your intercooler well able for 350bhp. There is very very low issues of hawk WRX Imprezas failures re intercooler

Agree fully re equiped.

They are a super cheap buy no mater what happens engine

And even a possible engine cc back to 2L cc tax

In saying that.

We have a customer with a 07 hawk 2.5 WRX.

Vf43. Full decat. Fuel pump etc. Mapped

Absolute animal pick up

No issues at all.

Over 2 years.

As above. Pot luck

Ah right ye, that's why I said I don't care if it's going to happen it will happen, plenty of 2.0 have blown too. I just want a nice drivable car that I can bring to the ring ????

Never said it didn't
but I'd still take the risk at the price of them
for the difference in price of them I'd have a new built short engine in it if it failed
and your right 2.0 is the way to go second time round
as said 3 I know of in club all running grand on original engines
i know of 3 subarus in the club needing to be rebuilt and there all 2.0
I'm waiting until there got cheap with engine gone and throw a 2.0 in it for myself
