What did you do to your car today?

Few cases of them cracking down on that Keith. Best "selling" it out of your address. Get new owner to tax it off their debit card and then sell it back to you with tax.

Be sold to her in her name before we got married and to her mams house so should keep them off me back lol

Not the forester but, getting another FD on the road over the coming weeks - had this delightful job to start today!

I couldn't miss the white weather and got my arse out of bed early and went onto the mountain for a quick spin. Some ice patches and brown pants moments but its all part of the game. Got few snaps and l will post them later

Well dropped my bae at the service center today, had oil gunk under both caps after the engine rebuild, rang them up asked if it’s a normal thing the mechanic said it’s normal after a rebuild as oil residue might be still resting in the engine & its associated components, the fella told me to keep an eye out for the caps and clean them on a daily basis as it would be gone and if not I’d need to bring the car over because they’d need the inspect the cause and diagnose what the problem is. Any idea what might be the cause of that ?

Doesn’t sound good . How much are you talking enough for the top of your finger or the whole bottom of the cap . Oil and water cap . There might be a small bit depending on how well they cleaned before rebuild but it should be minimal

I could only see oil present on both radiator caps like on the metal dish that’s found under the cap where it seals the water and the rubber piece, both on the radiator and the small cylinder master cap that’s next to engine it kept occurring for the past four days which i kept cleaning the caps every time I check them. I’ve done about 1500 Km’s after the rebuild. However no signs of water when I check the dipstick and no signs of a cream as well. Any suggestions

Keep a close eye on it and check your levels . Could be old residue for the last time but keep an eye on it
