You might have tried this Dan, but its working with my labrador puppy. Get him a kong in a pet shop, get some of his dry food, wet it them mash it up and put it in the kong and then freeze it. Give it to him when you go out to work and should keep him interested in chewing that and that only when your not lookin.

The best ting 2 stop him chewing anything is 2 spray cheap aftershave/perfume on what you dont want him chewing, it works everytime. You will spend a fortune on kongs as u have to keep changing them and filling them but if you want to go that road peanut butter works best in it but if hes alone for long periods then aftershave is the only option..... he will lick it only d once
