iphone 3gs wont turn on

Octane Boostaholics
was using my iphone and it had about 40% battery and it just shut off, now it wont even charge its like its just dead. anyone here ever have that problem or anyone know what the problem could be

Weird try holding the top power/lock button and the front home button at the same time and see does that do anything
 
Wifes iPhone done same thing!!!
Power button and home button at same time for about 10 seconds sorts it
 
It's caused by a flaw in the operating system!!!
Surprised it hasn't happened before!!!
