What set up does everyone have? And how do ye find them to work.
Took me ages to get all the stuff to work together.

I have a Samsung tv,
Ps3,
Samsung surround 5.1,
Netgear wireless,
2mb broadband,
one laptop constantly running 2 portable harddrives with movies, music, pics, series using the ps3 media server sending it to the ps3.
one laptop to use myself when i want so i dont have to plug in and out stuff
also have the surround working with sky, which soundstore said wouldn't work when i got it.

in the other sitting room have a
Hisence tv,
Ps3,
Laptop speakers 2.1
Also using the wirless to get movies, music, pics, series using the ps3 media server sending it to the ps3.

Its fairly easy once your shown how to do it, i just hit things if they dont work for me.

Sounds like ya have a fairly decent setup in yer gaff man.....
personally have a 42" plasma
full high def surround sound and dvd upscaler
xbox 360 running on wireless
wii running on wireless
2 laptops (net books for general use) wireless
1 pc wireless & external hard drives all setup to share media
Sky TV shared between 3 rooms
2 smaller tvs in bedrooms

hd is the job alright, have a rip of the topgear polar special from bbc-hd channel. amazing to look at.
when your gaming does that slow down say the likes of utube?
is that down to speed or do i have to get a static ip addresse

It can slow the game down if there is alot of downloading goin on or something similar
or if i have the games as priority and there is alot of use it slows the internet down alot.......

but faster connections dont seem to suffer as much.... I remember when i first got the xbox playin games ya couldnt even get onto the internet in the gaff and that was on a 1 mb line

running a 3 or 4mb line now and its alot better...... goin to see if i cant get faster connection soon tho.

50mb is the speed of the internet coming into his home.....
Contention is the amount thats shared.... 0 contention is very hard to get but worth the extra cash if ya can get it......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contention_ratio <definition of contention ratio

I'm planning on downloading the internet

Its from a company called Magnet, its only available in a few housing estates in the country, as they have to be wired up with fibre while they are being built. I'm in Dunboyne
