Does the battery have to be clamped down when you go for your NCT? Took mine off ages ago and now i can't find it. Mate said last night i will need it. The battery is tight in its enclosure and no movement really. Anyone know if i definately need one?

Yeah Mark it need's to have the clamp on it. My old impreza failed because of it.

Failed me on a previous car for the battery been loose !

only needed 2 turns of a nut to fix but still had to take car back for visual inspection

Yep,

You defo need it, mine failed on just that last year so you defo need it unfortunately.

Better have another look for it so. It can't have gone that far! Garden shed isn't that big.
