afaik the engine is a certain power on its own, but then there would be a different amount a power down at the wheels after all the ins and outs of getting there, to put it in a way that i think anyway!!
 
so should cars not be stating the whp that they run as opposed to the bhp seen as you lose power by the time it gets to the wheels???
