Hi,
Driving a newage impreza with dccd, what setting should it be at for normal
driving dry/wet conditions, currently at top of setting locked,i presume this is 50/50 is that right.

No should be at bottom i think. is there not a noise when its locked. Locked is for snow and gravel. U'll wreck ure diff if its locked

:shock2: As above locked isn't good for your diff, stick it to auto or i find up 4clicks is good for getting somewhere quickly  but always switch to auto when parking or reversing, will also disengage if you lift the handbrake a fraction

Cheers Lads,
Was messing with settings had an idea it was set at the top,but was nt sure locked or auto.Auto it is

The P1 doesn't have DCCD because there was a problem with the ABS alright.

The newage how ever was modified to work with ABS.

The setting for an every day drive in a new age is Auto. The car will adjust itself to the road conditions but it your looking for some fun I alway drove with the setting all the way to the rear in the dry and One setting above the middle in the wet. If it was really wet I'd lock it full but you have to change this as soon as you start to drive slow again.

What setting would you use say taking off in a straight line (m4 toll :icon_lol:)in dry weather

always have it on auto

I would stay on auto as well.. What power ratio is then between the axes in the newer STI specs? I know in Type-R/RA there is 70Rear/30Front ?

Its 64 rear/36 front

I drive on first or second green from bottom up in dry..

in wet conditions first orange light going from bottom upwards.

but as above when parking etc etc back to bottom or back on auto.
