Yes or No 4wd converted to rwd

you have to remember you need to fit shorter rack steering as the turning circle is sh!t ...I dont think it would suit the b4 anyway what would happen when your sideways and you hit the VOD it would be like lifting off in a rwd...cant imagine it is rightly balanced for rwd the front would be to light after you removed the front drive shafts the nose would lift and you wouldnt have the control...you could try it in a older leggy as an experiment but the weight distribution would be all fcuked and you be spinning every where

Don't advise at all. mad................ especially value of car...

and no VOD as shes the single turbo.

If it were something i could chance back from at the flick of a switch, I would get that in a hear beat,
But the prospect of not having awd at all is crap, the difference in everyday grip of an awd and a rwd is unbeleivable.

If you are looking for a bit of arse out fun in your car, then get your self a 24mm rear anti roll bar, set it to the tightest setting and have her set up with whiteline camber adjustment bolts on the front with loads of negative camber,
And if your still not happy get yourslf a better rear diff, plated would be a good comprimise, or a two way for proper arse out!
Other wise, buy an auld skyline
Or do what i did,, (all of the above) :icon_biggrin:

There has been a properly converted V2 sti in galway for a few years now-it went to carlow for a while but its back again and while it was great fun it was very very skittish to drive and its been through 2 engines, a gearbox, countless diffs and shafts.......but never a clutch! :ponder2: Not a good idea imo.

cousin of mine is after buyin a rwd classic for junior rallying. fairly sure he got it around carlow somewhere :ponder2:

Juniors are restricted to 1600cc arent they??? Classic wouldnt be much good and im not sure there would be a class for a rwd one anyway.

Ah-I see. Maybe he should consider a few auto cross events first-may be more competitive there-unfortunately a 1500 subaru is a good way less powerful than say an sohc vtec. Just my opinion-I wish the man all the best
