K+N filter question

was just out there sticking in the led side lights Eric gave me last night(cheers!) I had the airbox intake bit out. looked in at the filter and it was filthy, how do i clean this? water/soap? special cleaner? its been in for the last 8500km
 
If it's a K&N, it needs K&N cleaning fluid on oil after it has dried. Westward Engineering is a K&N dealer, and will have it in stock. When you get the kit, read the instructions before doing the job.

i have a cleaning kit with oil here you can have as i dont need it anymore.......got it for my k&n on the saxo. the oil is a reddy colour
 
yep K&N cleaner kit and water, oh and a light brush to get rid of the kamikazi bugs!

Once washed into the hot press or over a rad for the nights and oil it in the morning.
