The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRC.

Yesssssss ! Good news , a third WRC Impreza in the fold ...
Sick of seeing all them Fords on the stages com'n :subaru: :subaru:

The Subaru World Rally Team can confirm it will be running a third Subaru Impreza WRC2008 on the remaining two asphalt events of the season:
Rally de España, 2-5 October, and Rally de France Tour de Corse, 10-12 October 2008.

The third car will be piloted by the 2002 French S1600 Champion and 2003 JWRC Champion Brice Tirabassi, who will sit alongside long-time co-driver Fabrice Gordon. For the 31 year old Frenchman, who has made 27 WRC event starts in his career, Corsica is a key event. He made his WRC event debut on the island in 1999 and it was also the scene of his last WRC start in 2007.

Some noises coming from Petter & co is that the 08 WRC is not as good as first thought, its a shame that subaru appear to have lost their competitive edge,Loeb has won 42 WRC's,as opposed to Tommi on 24 & McRae on 25,loeb is not that much better than the others just that citroen is a rocket......if they bothered to make a version for the public this would be called icdc.ie!

back in mcrae and makkinens time there wer way less rallies in a season..when mcrae won the championship in 95 there was only 8 rallies in the season compared to the 16 or so that you have nowdays...if they had 16 rallies a season back in the day mcrae and makkinens total win count would be alot like loebs id say...
