will the 95/96 ra box go into a 94 sti, i dont want the dccd, just the short box.
i know a 99 wrx ra has a shortbox with no dccd, but they would be had to find, id say.

also how will i know that this is a sti and not just a wrx with an sti engine put in it.
are the old sti's silver top engines, theres no badges as its had a respray.

im confused....

You need to know the transmission code of the car it's going into, and the transmission code of the box. the diff ratio will need to be the same. If you can give me the codes, I can tell you. The code will be on the VIN plate of the car, and should be on the bellhousing of the box, on a white sticker.

the applied model code will tell you exactly what model it is mate, unless that chassis plate's been replaced!! other than that, look for uprated suspension bits

cheers lads
i dont think itl fit, mite have to do diffs and shafts aswell.

anyway im meeting him on sunday for a look.
trying to find the engine code now, so i have it when i check it.
is there ment to be a plate in them 0/200? on them?

its (TY 752 VB 3 CA)

You need to have the transmission code of both the replacement gearbox and the one from the cat to compare diff ratio's, they have to be the same

ty752vb3ca this on the car

ty752vb4ca this a 96 sti ra with dccd

TY752VB3CA has a diff ratio of 4.111 to 1
TY752VB4CA has a diff ratio of 3.9 to 1.

If you want to fit the VB4CA to a car that already has a VB3CA, you will also need to get the rear diff to match.
