went for the nct test, but car failed on emissions, anyone know if this is big job to sort.

it s a 1996 wrx jap
 
get it checked at a garage could be something like a lamda sensor, or worn plugs had you octane boost added to the fuel? that would cause high emmisions
 
depends what it failed on if the car isn't decatted you'll have to put up the readings to give a better idea if it is decatted then thats your problem :thumbsup:
 
the car isnt decatted, and i was using maxol and booster.

Check for Leaks if theres none and there isn't a Stones in a can sound from your Cats then you will need to replace the lambda Sensor.

By the way if there is a stone in a can sound out of your Cat then the Cat is fucked.
 
hey guys,

had retest today and passed with flying colours.
 
it was one of those miracles youve heard about. had it booked in for today to do emissions, thought nct was wed, not today.

took it down anyway and it passed.

fekin con job that nct.
