pulling to the left

i had the car about two months and had to get a hub and cv joint for the front left from mckeveers.
when the mechanic fitted it he said he had to (MODIFY) it
i cant remember if it was pulling to the left then but it bein doing it for a long time now.
i got 4wheel alinment and still pulling, mechanic said it was the tie rod.
so that got done today and tracked and its still the same.
he also said my steering rack is worn.

any idea what it is...........the modifying bit or what.

Modify it ??

Pulling to 1 side is usually caused by balance or the tyres bieng worn more one side than the other, or pressure different from one side to the other. Worn rack is unusual, though I have seen one, only one in a long time. Tracking rarely causes a car to pull to one side.

I would say that the right parts should fit without modifying... the best ask the guy what has he actually modified.
Or go somewhere else for a check of steering rods etc. - just to make sure...

when u got the aligment done did they check the camber on the front wheels as it is adjustable by the top bolt that bolts to the shock, that could cause the car to pull.

Could the pulling to one sidebe also caused by maybe one brake sticking more than another.

sorted, it was the bad tracking, got it tracked somewhere else.
and the big wheels and bad roads dont help either.
