The sound of those impreza's poping and banging there way down the stages was unforgetable.

Well i was fortunate to meet Bertie and mark on many occasions, one i will never forget was bertie on the toshiba rally, on the start line, i had ear plugs and ear defenders on and god my ears were aching for days after.........

Agree with you gojonnyjo,

great burble of it, thats the one thing i miss with the newer Scooby rally cars.

Saying that, the loudest car i heard was Frank Maher's (R.I.P) old Group A Escort Cosworth.

That thing used to spit flames and frighten small children with it's anti-lag.

it sure was a toastie maker, Frank is another driver who will be greatly missed, he toasted my bruvs ankles on the start line :headbanger:
