Scratch Repair

I was trying to repair scratches on my sisters punto yesterday so i got primer, paint and laquer from halfords, masked off the area and sanded it down. When i finished and took the masking off the part of the paint i had just attempted to fix was raised up compared to the rest of the car. Will a high abrasive polish blend this in or does anybody know how to repair it properly?

needs to be blocked down using wet and dry sand paper
think the grade should be round 600 or 800

Sound, just picked some up in halfords, gonna get G3 tomorrow in the motor fators cause halfords dont do it. That will hpefully do the trick

Peel back the masking tape slightly and wet sand with white spirits very lightly
