What MAF is in my car?

I had my car plugged into a Subaru diagnostic tool to see if we could get to the bottom of what my CO idle issue is and the technician at Subaru thought the MAF was on it's way out. I got my hands on a genuine 22B MAF plugged it in and the car wouldn't even start!
Checking the part number:
8615A
22680AA271
and Subaru Ireland have one in stock but can't tell me what it's off?
ideas anyone?

After doing a search I think the Maf on a 22b is 22680 AA271 A36-612 R71. Thats what Madcap had on his one.

Just to clarify, the part number I listed abnove is the MAF that's currently on the car.

I just had confirmation that that part number corresponds with the MAF on a V3/4 STi. Is there anyone based in limerick with such a car that I could swap over the MAF for a few minutes to see if this would solve the problem PLEASE???
