Up early this morning as the B4 had been throwing a check engine light the last 2weeks when you start it then it would go out.
I drove sluggish when the light was on obviously, got a dianostic machine hooked up to it and said knocke sensor!
Rang carrol roche with the chassis no . and turned out he had one in stock!
Worked out at E90.07

So to remove the old one the inter"cooler" has to off then underneath the throttle body, more the passenger side off the car there's a few small water return pipes, one of which is on the throttle body, you have the get these ot of the way as the sensors underneath.
Once out of the way you use a 12mm socket on a knuckle(allows you to open the bolt at an angle as the induction pipe for the primary turbo is slightly in the way)and remove the bolts securing it to the block, dissconnect fron the loom and pull the sensor out.

Fit the new sensor and do everthing else in reverse, when done run the car and check for any water leaks :subaru:

Fair play Baz. Its the simple jobs that are satisfying to accomplish.
