Dash light quick question

Yeah working now... As above, looks like the rear window de-mister to me as well.....?
 
I don't think it's de-mister :) that would be too easy anyway :)

it's the red warning on the dash, below fuel and heat gauges - this one seems to be type r specific?

interesting. it would be good to diagnose before I kill something in the car again :)
 
on scoobynet I've been told it's warning of overheating cat converter. so I guess this means classic sti type r has a egt sensor fitted by default?
this is kind of surprise for me to be hones...
 
I wonder what could be the reason it has lit.
is it kind of standard egt sensor? can I use it with egt gauge?

:) this happened simply in the traffic - I'm surprised, too.
And actually 1hr later, when I was driving again it was OK again.
 
Overheating cat-get someone to rev the engine and put your hand in the exhaust flow from the tailpipe. If it near burns the hand off you, chances are your cat's blocked mate.
